Testimonials

“Sinead proofread my doctoral thesis immediately prior to submission.  Even though I had read the paper more times than I care to remember, she picked up on a number of issues which I had overlooked.  Formatting in compliance with college requirements was challenging and Sinead was more than helpful in addressing this.  In addition, her pointers in relation to the list of references proved very useful.  I have no hesitation in recommending Sinead’s service to ensure consistency and coherence in any written work”.

“As a mature student studying a Social Care degree in NUIG  Sinead was a massive help to me. I believe I would not have been able to finish my dissertation without Sinead’s guidance and service. I was having difficulty structuring my dissertation and generally was feeling lost. I reached out to Sinead explaining my dilemma and Sinead put me at ease at once. She gave me suggestions to improve my work in a step by step approach.  She was very professional, her instructions were easy to follow and she went above and beyond to assist me. She made me feel very comfortable and was always very happy to help when I needed clarification.

I would highly recommend Sinead’s service and honestly feel that I would not have gotten through my dissertation without her service.

“I just wanted to share a quick testimonial regarding the great service for editing, proofreading and guiding that Sinead provided. I had to write a psychology report based on a case study for the final year of my degree programme. I was truly impressed with the prompt work as I found Sinead’s website very late and my report was due for submission the following day. It only took her 2 and a half hours to edit a long and detailed report. The quality of work and additional comments she provided helped to improve the content and structure. It was very much appreciated and I would highly recommend Sinead’s service for everyone who need help with assignments, dissertations, essays and other academic writing”.

“Highly recommend this service offered by Sinead. The service focuses on areas of grammar, punctuation and referencing format that although can appear minor can make all the difference is getting a first class grade. Sinead was very prompt at responding and provided samples of her work and the cost involved from the very beginning. This service definitely motivated me when I was reaching the end of my thesis and struggling to achieve completion!”

“I found out about Sinead’s services quite late into my thesis writing process. My thesis was almost finished and due for submission yet even at that stage, Sinead was more than willing to help and give advice and fix it to the academic standard that was required for my BA Hons Performing Arts thesis.

Academic writing and understanding how to structure an essay has always been a struggle for me. The thesis writing experience was no different. However, I was acutely aware that to get the results I wanted, I needed the extra help to remove any errors and help with the flow and connectivity of the sections. Sinead was so helpful and also took interest in what I was writing, finding articles and links that could help with further research of the project. She was open to any questions I had and always had a quick reply. Her comments and corrections were easy to understand and they also got me thinking independently and more critically as well.

I know that when I go on to complete my Masters next year, I will be going back to use Sinead’s service again. Her service made life so much easier and I just wish that I had found her in the earlier stages of my thesis”

“Writing a thesis doesn’t always go to plan in terms of hitting your milestones and the pressure can really mount as the hand-in date approaches. For my MSc, I had to implement a web learning platform and write up a dissertation. I particularly struggled with the academic writing style. Sinead was a fantastic support, she offered me guidance throughout the process, if I needed a second opinion on a paragraph or felt it didn’t read well, I could send it off to Sinead and she would promptly come back to me with some reassuring suggestions. This had the added benefit of allowing me to step back, clear my head or move on to something else whilst I awaited her response.

As the pressure mounted, I found that I was getting sloppy with my grammar, my cross-referencing and my referencing style, Sinead really helped me stay sharp here. Her attention to detail ensured that all these errors were addressed prior to my final draft and that the overall flow and cohesiveness of each chapter, and indeed the whole document, was retained.
My reading list was elaborate and very technical, many of the subject areas did not align with Sinead’s area of expertise yet she quickly became accustomed to the various topics, my referenced materials and my approach. As a result she was able to mentor me objectively and in a warm, friendly manner. I found her guidance to be very reassuring and calming, particularly at those low points when the finish line was close but never felt further. By the end of the writing process, I felt that Sinead was wholly0connected with my work to the point that she was energetic about it. This was most encouraging!

Sinead’s background in academia and her experience in writing dissertations to doctoral level are apparent. Her mentoring approach brings a welcome, professional and human touch to what often feels like a very cold, isolated academic experience.

I managed to secure a distinction in my MSc which was my target from the start, I can confidently say that I would have fallen short and not realised my ambition had it not been for the encouragement, support and academic professionalism of Dr. Sinead Corrigan. I can’t recommend her enough- my only recommendation is that she raise her fee, because she really did go above and beyond what I expected!

Professional, astute and efficient- emphatically recommended!”

“I completed a research dissertation for MEd Leadership and Management with University of Ulster. The focus of the dissertation was effective practices within further education learning. With a three-month timeframe to complete my research and submit a completed dissertation, I was very relieved when Sinead offered her insights and knowledge from her own experience of completing academic research and the best practice for structuring a dissertation. Sinead provided invaluable guidance on how to write and structure questions for candidate interview research, including advice on how to transcribe and communicate the interview to written format and deliver the candidate opinion accurately while maintaining an academic context within the dissertation.

Upon completion of a first draft of my dissertation, Sinead provided further suggested improvements and proofreading for accuracy and professionalism. All edits and additional suggestions provided by Sinead where very easy to amend, however, they made a significant impact on my final submission with my MEd supervisor commending my work and making no suggested improvements to the final draft for proofreading, grammar, structure or punctuation. I would never have identified the edits or additional suggestions that Sinead provided. Sinead provided her advice and guidance in such an easy going and relaxed approach that it made the editing phase more practical and easy to complete.

I would definitely recommend Sinead for anyone wishing to complete any professionally produced document, her experience and knowledge of communication and writing are an asset to anyone.”

“As a (very) mature student returning to education to complete an MSc through the University of Central Lancashire, I found Sinead Corrigan’s help made a huge difference to my work. Sinead helped to upgrade my rusty academic skills and to understand how to structure a dissertation clearly and logically. She proofread my final draft, all her suggestions and comments were easy to follow and understand and did not in any way detract from the originality of my work. My dissertation supervisor commented on the significant improvement in the standard of my work over the three years of my MSc course, and I attribute that to Sinead’s help  with academic skills coaching. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sinead, as dh id highly professional but very approachable, warm and friendly. Her passion for higher education shines through and she offered me not only academic support but also a great deal of encouragement and help with building my self-confidence. I would highly recommend Sinead to anyone working on a dissertation or thesis”
